Are you accepting Telehealth clients?

Yes!

Is Telehealth at Alive HIPPA complaint?

Yes! We do our Telehealth session through SimplePractice which is HIPPA compliant. You, as the client, can choose to have your sessions through another platform (e.g. zoom, Skype, etc) but Alive cannot ensure those options are HIPPA compliant and strongly encourage you to do your sessions through SimplePractice.

How do I ensure privacy?

Your counselor will take steps to make sure your privacy is maintained on their end. However, it is also your responsibility to ensure privacy on your side of the connection. We recommend being in a separate room, with the door closed, and maybe some ambient sound (e.g. fan, TV, radio) going on outside the door. If this is not possible, you can always do the session in your car.

If privacy cannot be ensured on your end and someone in your household can/will overhear sessions, please let your counselor know.

I live in rural Oregon or outside Lane Co, can I do Telehealth at Alive?

Yes! We can do Telehealth with anyone who lives in the state of Oregon.

How do I get into the virtual therapy room?

Before your session, you should receive an email from SimplePractice with a link to the virtual therapy room. Clicking on this link should take you directly to where you need to go!

Do I need to download any programming or apps to do Telehealth? 

If you are doing Telehealth from your computer, you should not need to download any programming. If you are doing Telehealth from your phone, you may need to download the SimplePractice app, which is free.

Will my insurance cover Telehealth?

At this time, most insurances are covering Telehealth services. To see if your insurance will cover Telehealth session, call us and (with the exception of Providence), we’ll check for you!

My insurance will not cover Telehealth, is financial assistance available?

Yes! Alive offers a sliding free scale of $65, $85, and $110 for those individuals who do not have insurance coverage for Telehealth.

Does OHP cover Telehealth?

Yes! Please note, we do not work with OHP-Trillium. We are accepting OHP-PacificSource clients!

Can I do one of your Holistic Therapies through Telehealth?

EMDR: Yes!

Art Therapy: Yes!

Body Talk: Yes!

Somatic Therapy: Yes!

Hypnotherapy: Yes!

Equine Facilitated Therapy: Yes!

Neurofeedback: No. But contact us today to be placed on our contact list for after quarantine!
