"Promise me you'll always remember - you're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."
—Christopher Robin from Winnie the Pooh
I believe in a genuine approach to therapy; with a sprinkle of whimsy, laughter, and authenticity.
I work from an eclectic lens, mixing cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and humanistic/experiential therapy practices focusing on emotions and behaviors, being in the, “here and now,” practicing mindfulness and utilizing play therapy when working with children. I have been a neurofeedback provider since 2022 and enjoy utilizing this in my practice.
I have been working with children, youth, and teens since 2019. My post graduate work includes two years as a school-based therapist in rural Douglas County, working with high poverty and high-risk youth and their families. The last two years I have worked in community mental health, continuing to grow my passion for working with children, youth, and teens. My love for working with this age demographic comes from my teaching background. I like to consider myself a child at heart. In the therapy space, I address anxiety, depression, PTSD, and the complex issues related to gender, identity, and sexuality.
I am a born and raised Oregonian, and the Oregon Coast is my happy place. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones (including my two fur babies), reading, and connecting with nature through gardening and taking mindfulness walks. During the summer, I love listening to and watching baseball games. Go Cubs!
