I am Christopher Grant, a Clinical Social Work Associate with extensive experience working with marginalized communities in various roles, both within and outside the U.S.
As a clinician, my clinical experience is rooted in helping individuals from diverse backgrounds to:
Overcome struggles with drug and alcohol addiction,
Develop the necessary skills to lead crime-free lives,
Develop self-control and healthy boundaries,
Manage co-occurring mental health disorders, and
Overcome the symptoms of anxiety and PTSD.
I am passionate about helping clients discover and develop their strengths to achieve their life goals. I’m also passionate about empowering clients to regain control of their lives while managing the challenges of parole, and probation, and maintaining long-term sobriety.
I believe that the success of a client’s therapeutic journey begins with developing a healthy therapeutic relationship with their therapist. As a therapist, I will never know you as well as you know yourself. Therefore, my job is to empower you to recognize that you have the power within you to make the best decisions for yourself and to cultivate the healing you desire.
My therapeutic interventions are rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps clients reframe how they think about situations, opportunities, and themselves. Since our thoughts are connected to our feelings and actions, developing control over negative/automatic thoughts can positively impact how you feel about yourself and ultimately help you develop confidence in taking positive actions.
I hold a certificate from the Veteran Trauma and Transparency Program.
If you think that my skillset may be beneficial to you, then we can see if I am the right therapist for you. I am committed to serving clients of ALL identities and backgrounds and look forward to supporting you on your journey to healing and growth.
