As a parent myself, I know how difficult it can be to teach your kids something you don't know so well yourself! This could be so many things - emotional regulation, boundaries or self care come to mind. Learning these in childhood didn't happen for all of us, but that doesn't mean we can't learn now (this also applies to non-parents!). I earned my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling while parenting 3 kids - really putting my skills to the test! Using principles from CBT, IFS, mindfulness and art therapy, I guide clients through an exploration of their thoughts, emotions and relationships. I am trained in EMDR therapy, which can help address self worth, hypervigilance, identity issues and so much more caused by trauma. I want to help put a mirror up for my clients, to help them see how our time in the therapy room is reflective of the rest of their lives. Going to therapy is a commitment to yourself and your family, and I want to honor your dedication by offering accountability, empathy and space to learn. I currently serve adults only, with focus on identity, spirituality and relationship issues.
